Braeden Virtue
Owner, Head of Development
Braeden, with 10 years of experience, a 4-year QMJHL alum, and a current Carleton Ravens player. Having played under elite coaches like Patrick Roy and Philippe Boucher, he brings a professional standard to every session: high-energy, detail driven, and focused on real game impact.
As the owner and head instructor of Genesis Hockey, Braeden is committed to creating a safe, positive, and structured environment where players are pushed to improve while still loving the game. His coaching emphasizes strong skating fundamentals, hockey IQ, and confident decision making so that the skills learned in training translate directly to game situations.
Coaching is more than a job for Braeden, it's his passion. He takes pride in earning the trust of parents and players through professionalism, clear communication, and consistency. Every drill has a purpose, and he makes sure players understand the quote;whyquote; behind what they're doing. His goal is simple: to help each player become the best version of themselves, on and off the ice.
Jarrett Chalmers
Lead Goalie Instructor
Apprentice of the late Creed Jones, founder of Genesis Goaltending; Jarrett carries forward Creed's legacy as a dedicated goalie coach. Blending North American and European goaltending methods, he helps goalies develop elite mobility, sharp puck-tracking, and the confidence to handle any situation in the crease.
Kieran Craig
Instructor
Kieran Craig brings elite playing experience from the CCHL, QMJHL, and Carleton University. Now competing in the UK's EIHL, he connects naturally with young athletes and is passionate about developing the next generation on and off the ice.
Alex Hogue
Instructor
Eastern Ontario Wild, OHL, and QMJHL alum, now playing defense for Carleton University. With a strong feel for the game and a passion for development, Alex is focused on passing down what he's learned to help young players build smart, confident habits every time they hit the ice.
Tyler Boivin
Instructor
Forward coch with experience in the CCHL, QMJHL, and currently competing in the LNAH. A Eastern Ontario Wild Alum, Tyler is focused on developing individual skill sets and helping players in the Ottawa area sharpen their edge, compete with confidence, and play with purpose.
